Günsa Paid Parking License Plate Recognition System

Project need

At this Gebze facility, the goal was to log each vehicle's entry time by plate and automatically convert that duration into a fee at exit — a fully plate-based billing flow with no paper ticket.

Solution implemented

An LPR camera was installed at both entry and exit. Entry is logged automatically; at exit, the fee calculated from the parked duration is shown on an LED display, payment is taken by POS or cash, and the barrier opens.

Benefit delivered

Ticket-loss issues were eliminated entirely, exits got faster, and business reports can be kept per vehicle. The system has been running without interruption for 3-4 years — the clearest proof of long-term hardware and software reliability in outdoor conditions and heavy vehicle traffic.
