Project need
Luxera Homes has a multi-level parking structure: below the main entrance level there are 3 separate parking floors at -1, -2, and -3. The need was to manage vehicle traffic across these 4 different levels from a single central point.
Solution implemented
At the main entrance (top level), one barrier plus a camera reads plates; at the exit, instead of a plate camera, an underground loop detector senses the vehicle's presence and opens the barrier — a simple, low-maintenance choice since extra verification isn't needed on the way out. Each of the -1, -2, and -3 floors below the main entrance has its own entry and exit camera, and each gate has its own relay card and control panel. In total, 7 cameras are spread across these 4 levels; all gates connect over a shared network to a single PC at the center.
Benefit delivered
Management can monitor and report on vehicle traffic across all 4 parking levels from one central point; dependence on cards and remotes has been eliminated. Using a loop detector at the exit also reduces maintenance load — bringing every gate onto a shared network managed from a single PC, rather than setting up a separate management point per floor, greatly simplifies operations.
