PRODUCT AND SOFTWARE

Plate Reading Software

Sole LPR software turns camera frames into plates, permissions and records: list management, charging, reporting and API in one panel.

Direct answer: Plate reading software (LPR software) decodes camera frames into characters, compares the plate with defined lists to trigger the barrier, and records every transit with a photo. Sole LPR software adds list management, charging, reporting and API layers on top of that core.

Core features

Photo transit records

Every entry-exit is stored with plate, date, time, direction and a vehicle photo, searchable retroactively.

White / black lists

Authorized vehicles pass without waiting; the barrier stays closed for blacklisted or unknown vehicles, with optional alerts.

Charging and reporting

Duration-based tariffs, shift/end-of-day reports and PDF/Excel export support paid parking operations.

Architecture

The software runs on a PC communicating with cameras over the network assembled in the field cabinet (PoE switch + TCP/IP). Multiple lanes and entry points are managed from one panel; it keeps working on the local network during internet outages. Data transfer to external systems (ERP, site management, payment) is done via API integration.

With or without software?

For single-lane sites with no record requirements, on-camera (software-free) recognition may be enough. If you need records, list management, charging or reporting, plate reading software is the right choice; see the camera selection guide for choosing the right camera.

Frequently asked questions

Which cameras does the software work with?

It works with IP cameras designed for plate recognition; your existing camera's suitability is evaluated at the survey.

Does the software stop if the internet goes down?

No, it runs on the local network; internet is only needed for remote access and external integrations.

How many lanes and cameras can be managed?

Multiple lanes and entry points are managed from one panel; capacity is engineered per the on-site PC and network.

How are updates and support provided?

Updates and remote support are provided under after-sales technical support.

Are LPR software and ANPR software the same thing?

Yes; plate reading software, LPR software and ANPR software refer to the same product family.
